Equipment Maintenance Engineer II

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults related to power distribution, control panels, motors, sensors, and field devices.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Support the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new machines, utilities, and facility projects.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Design and modify electrical circuits, control panels, and power distribution systems as required.
  • Monitor electrical equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Automation, Mechanical, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Manage electrical spare parts inventory and ensure critical components are available.
  • Assist in energy-saving initiatives and electrical system optimization projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support TPM, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities throughout the facility.
  • Provide technical support and training to maintenance technicians and production personnel.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environments.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and motor control circuits.
  • Experience with transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and electrical protection systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, coating, optical equipment, or high-tech production environments.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication networks and automation systems.
  • Experience with power quality analysis and energy management projects.
  • Understanding of predictive maintenance techniques and reliability engineering.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a manufacturing and production environment with exposure to electrical equipment and machinery.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, or online to support production requirements.
  • Occasional travel may be required for project support, training, or equipment installation.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
