Equipment Maintenance Engineer II
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults related to power distribution, control panels, motors, sensors, and field devices.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
- Support the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new machines, utilities, and facility projects.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Design and modify electrical circuits, control panels, and power distribution systems as required.
- Monitor electrical equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Automation, Mechanical, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues.
- Manage electrical spare parts inventory and ensure critical components are available.
- Assist in energy-saving initiatives and electrical system optimization projects.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Support TPM, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities throughout the facility.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance technicians and production personnel.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and motor control circuits.
- Experience with transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and electrical protection systems.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, coating, optical equipment, or high-tech production environments.
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks and automation systems.
- Experience with power quality analysis and energy management projects.
- Understanding of predictive maintenance techniques and reliability engineering.
Working Conditions
- Work in a manufacturing and production environment with exposure to electrical equipment and machinery.
- May be required to work overtime, weekends, or online to support production requirements.
- Occasional travel may be required for project support, training, or equipment installation.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
