  • Proactively monitor equipment utilization and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and resource allocation.

Rental & Vendor Management

  • Manage equipment rental needs and coordinate with third-party rental houses.
  • Negotiate rental pricing and help control equipment-related costs.
  • Identify opportunities to rent or purchase additional equipment when needed to support project demands.

Vehicle & Fleet Management

  • Oversee company vehicle and trailer registrations, inspections, maintenance, and insurance requirements.
  • Manage EZPass accounts and ensure they remain current.
  • Verify applicable licensing, DOT clearance, and other regulatory requirements before company vehicle keys are distributed.

  • Manage the distribution and usage of company vehicles, including pickup trucks.

Administrative & Facility Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records for equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, and inspections.
  • Reconcile, scan, and file equipment inspection sheets.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Viewpoint/Vista, and other equipment management systems.
  • Perform Facility Manager duties for the company.
  • Distribute weekly toolbox talks to mechanics and actively participate in company and departmental meetings.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree in Mechanical Technology, Construction Management, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 5–7 years of experience in equipment, fleet, or maintenance management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating the mobilization and demobilization of large construction or industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with vehicle and trailer management, including registrations, insurance, inspections, and compliance requirements.
