Equipment Operator

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, trenchers, and loaders
• Perform pole setting, trenching, and material handling operations
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections per DOT requirements
• Maintain and care for assigned equipment
• Assist with general crew tasks when equipment is not in use
• Identify hazards and ensure safe operation in all environments
• Maintain required logs and documentation

Requirements

• CDL Class A or B required
• Experience operating utility or construction equipment
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA vehicle compliance requirements
• Strong safety awareness

Working Conditions

• Work is performed outside in all types of weather environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, climb, stoop, stand, and lift for long periods of time.
• Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.
