Equipment Repair Technician

Part-Time Position. We operate on a 4-day work week, Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm.

Position Profile:

As an Equipment Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing small electronic equipment used in a dental laboratory environment. Your role is essential to ensuring the reliability and accuracy of the tools and devices the lab depends on each day. You will also perform light facility maintenance tasks as needed to support smooth operations.

Job Duties and Accountabilities:

Equipment Repair Technician:

Dental Lab Electronic Equipment Repair

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain small electronic dental lab equipment, including Handpieces, Vibrators, mixers, and curing lights, Digital scanners and small motors, Polishing units and specialty lab devices
  • Perform routine calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain clear and accurate service records, logs, and parts inventory.
  • Coordinate with vendors or manufacturers for warranty and specialized repairs.
  • Ensure all repaired equipment meets operational and safety standards.

Technical Support

  • Assist lab staff with equipment setup and troubleshooting.
  • Provide guidance on proper equipment care and basic maintenance.
  • Support installation or configuration of small equipment and tools.

General Facility Maintenance (as needed)

  • Complete minor electrical, plumbing, or carpentry tasks within the lab.
  • Help with equipment relocation, workspace adjustments, and setup.
  • Respond to small maintenance requests to support safety and workflow

Other duties as assigned.
