EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (AUTOMOTIVE)

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to all Major Command and base Vehicle Management Staffs on all aspects of Air Force vehicle management functions to include force module creation, vehicle prioritization replacement and procurement plan, vehicle management operations and maintenance budget forecasting, Logistics, Installation and Mission Support.

Serves as chief technical advisor and program analyst to HQ USAF/A4L on all aspects of AF vehicle management, AF vehicle specific energy efficiency processes and initiatives and AF vehicle management budgetary issues and processes for the SAF, OSD, and OMB. Responsible for daily updates to ensure the AF's gateway and foundation for the Warfighter meet strategic, operational, tactical, and historical information needs of the 21st century Air Force. Incumbent will be the vehicle community focal point to create, collect, and monitor all issues related to AEF support. Incumbent provides input and executes HQ AF policy for vehicle management processes. Incumbent is responsible for AF-level tracking of all vehicle SBs, One-Time Inspections (OTI), and TCTOs and managing the AF License Plate program.
