EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

You will conducts on-site safety, maintenance and Code compliance evaluations of boilers, water heaters, and unfired pressure vessels (UPV) located at Navy and Marine Corp activities.

You will certify existing equipment for continued use, and shall recommend new installations for acceptance by the government.

You will advise plant of maintenance personnel in writing, and in advance of any site visit, of the tests and operations to be conducted, safety precautions to be observed, and or their degree of participation during the evaluation process.

You will review all plant operating logs, prior inspection reports, repair documentation, feedwater tests and treatment logs, etc. in order to evaluate the condition of the equipment and plant efficiency.
