SUMMARY: The Equipment Supervisor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day equipment operations of the First Team. This position coordinates equipment preparation for training sessions and matches, maintains training apparel and equipment, tracks the distribution of apparel and footwear, and collaborates with coaching, sports performance, athletic training, operations, and facilities staff to ensure players and staff are equipped to perform at the highest level.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborate with Coaching, Athletic Training, Sports Performance, and Operations staff to execute successful daily training sessions and match preparations.
  2. Maintain and coordinate the daily cleaning, laundering, and preparation of training apparel while supporting efficient laundry operations for the First Team, MLS NEXT Pro, Academy teams, and staff.
  3. Track the distribution of all apparel and footwear inventory to players, coaches, and staff to ensure accurate issuance, accountability, and availability.
  4. Prepare and customize game uniforms and training apparel using heat press equipment as required.
  5. Prepare, pack, and organize equipment for preseason, MLS regular season, U.S. Open Cup, MLS Cup Playoffs, and other team activities as required.
  6. Coordinate the setup and organization of locker room equipment and supplies for all First Team home matches.
  7. Serve as the primary point of contact for visiting team equipment staff and assist with equipment-related needs during home matches.
  8. Maintain, inspect, organize, and store all training equipment, including goals, coaching sticks, mannequins, cones, hurdles, pinnies, and other training materials to ensure operational readiness.
  9. Coordinate with Facilities and Stadium Operations to maintain training and locker room spaces, submit work orders, procure equipment, and support facility improvement initiatives.
  10. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  11. Responsible for the maintenance, creation, and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by Confidentiality or Privacy Standards, Company Policies, or applicable state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2–4 years of experience working in an equipment role within collegiate, professional, or elite youth soccer; professional soccer experience preferred.
  • Prior experience using heat press equipment to prepare game uniforms and training apparel preferred.
  • Experience managing apparel, footwear, and equipment inventory preferred.
  • Personable, dependable, trustworthy, and able to build positive working relationships across multiple departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to support team training, matches, and operational needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to work long hours and nights/weekends, including some holidays.
  • Heavy lifting and carrying may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This job entails working in both an office environment as well as outside in all elements (i.e. heat, cold, rain, snow).
  • International and Domestic Travel are required as well as working nights and weekends as needed.
