Role overview
The China Consumer Equities Analyst will assist the portfolio manager and the team in coverage in the global equities market, with a focus on the China Consumer sector.
Job description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Investing and trading in publicly listed equities, indexes and relevant derivatives, with a specific focus on the China Consumer market
· Communicating with industry and sell-side contacts
· Supporting in financial statement analysis, cash flows, balance sheets, and maintaining consensus models
· Producing write-ups on strong conviction investment ideas
· Developing relationships with management teams within coverage universe
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelors Degree or the equivalent in Business, Business administration, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar from a reputable university
· Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in an equity research role covering the publicly listed companies in the buyside
· Minimum 7 year of experience in the publicly listed equities space across the China Consumer sector
· Experience running a long-short book is preferred
