Overview

In this role you will advance Citi’s Global Market Data platform for the global equities business, focusing on low-latency data delivery and system enhancements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production support and traders to implement new functionality and coordinate exchange-driven changes. The role offers hands-on work with Java-based microservices and real-time data processing in a fast-paced trading environment. You will help shape the platform’s evolution and deepen your understanding of equity trading dynamics.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new functionality for the Global Market Data platform
  • Design and develop system features and improve application capabilities
  • Support deployed market data systems with production teams
  • Coordinate exchange-mandated changes impacting the platform
  • Improve functionality driven by the Electronic Trading Desk
  • Support existing market data applications and clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders and support staff
  • Learn and contribute to understanding of the Equity Trading business
Key requirements
  • Significant Java experience
  • Perl/Shell scripting experience
  • Knowledge of Microservices architecture (big plus)
  • Experience building ultra-low latency market data platforms (big plus)
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines as part of a team
  • Effective communication across different stakeholder groups
  • Good understanding of Network Protocols – Multicast/TCP/IP
