Our client, a well-established securities firm is seeking Equity Trader/Dealer to join their growing team

Job Description

  • Execute equity trades across global markets in accordance with client instructions, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Monitor market movements, news flow, and trading activity to identify execution opportunities and manage trading risks.
  • Provide timely market colour, trading ideas, and execution support to institutional, accredited, and high-net-worth clients.
  • Manage client orders across cash equities, ETFs, and other listed securities while ensuring best execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, exchanges, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Settlement teams to ensure smooth trade execution and post-trade processing.
  • Ensure compliance with MAS regulations, exchange rules, and internal trading policies.
  • Monitor trading positions, resolve trade discrepancies, and support daily reconciliation activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements and initiatives to enhance trading efficiency and client experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3–8 years of equity trading or execution experience within a brokerage, securities firm, or investment bank.
  • Strong knowledge of global equity markets, market microstructure, trading systems, and exchange rules.
  • Familiarity with SGX and other major global exchanges.
  • Good understanding of capital markets regulations and best execution practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Relevant CMFAS qualifications or other regulatory licences required to perform the role.
