ERECTION ENGINEER

Summary

Oversee day-to-day construction activities for large infrastructure projects like bridges and roads, coordinating with teams and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant erection of heavy structures.

  • Reports to the Construction Manager
  • Ensure that day to day erection activities/operations are monitored at an appropriate level
  • Plan, organize, supervise and liaise closely with sub-contractors and operation teams for the ongoing and planned erection activities
  • Ensure RFIs are accurately prepared with the necessary supporting documents, and that completed work is ready for inspection
  • Prepare method statements for the erection activities
  • Address concerned parties regarding the safety of any erection operations
  • Provide reports to construction team regularly


Job Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction field; inclusive of 6 years' experience in construction and supervision for bridge/viaduct/flyover structures and road projects (Road / LRT / MRT / Viaduct)
  • Experience in preparing RFIs and supporting documentation is a must
  • Knowledgeable and skillful in preparing method statements
  • Experience in the erection of heavy structures is necessary
  • Previous experience in LTA Projects is preferred
  • Knowledge in PT Stressing and PC Segment erection is an advantage
  • Construction Safety Course for Project Managers (CSCPM)
  • Building Construction Supervisor Course (BCSS)
