ERP Implementation Consultant
Salary: Up to $115K
About Markinson
Markinson is a Brisbane based software company of about 40 people. We build and support MoPro, an ERP for wholesale distributors: businesses with large parts catalogues, several warehouses, and purchasing and replenishment rules that generic systems handle badly. Our customers run their whole operation on it.
About the role
You’ll work with our customers to implement MoPro, get more out of it after go-live, and improve the way their business runs. You’ll sit in our Service Delivery team and work closely with our developers, product team and support desk.
The role includes travel to customer sites, averaging no more than two weeks a quarter across the year.
Where you’ll work
This role is based in our Brisbane office at Eight Mile Plains. For up to your first three months you’ll work in the office full time, learning the product and the team; after that, remote days are by agreement with your manager. We’re an office-based team that values time together: people are in the room, cameras are on in meetings, and you’ll be part of the workplace we all share. If you’re looking for a remote-first role, this isn’t it.
What you’ll do
Run customer projects from estimate to go-live, holding scope, schedule and budget, and managing variations with the customer
Lead functional workshops, business process reviews and user training, on site and remotely
Run workshops and process reviews on shared Miro boards, and use Claude and Notion to draft requirements, configuration notes and training material that you then check and finish
Help customers move from on-premises installations to our hosted MomentumPro service, owning the functional side: testing, data validation, process changes and user cutover
Document business requirements and work with R&D and product to solve them, tracking delivery in Autotask and Jira
Write and maintain consulting reports, project documents and customer training material
Help create the runbooks we use for repeatable work such as implementations, upgrades and hosted migrations, and keep them current as we learn from each project
Support our sales team as the product expert in demonstrations and scoping
Help the support team resolve functional queries
Maintain a billable utilisation level agreed with your manager
What you’ll bring
Hands-on experience implementing or consulting on an ERP system; distribution, inventory or warehousing experience is a strong advantage
Experience with an ERP move to a hosted or cloud environment is an advantage
A sound grasp of accounting principles, because you’ll configure and explain the financial side as well as the operational side
Experience managing customer-facing projects, including scope and budget
The ability to run a workshop, explain a process clearly and write it down accurately
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Confidence with AI tools such as Claude, Notion and Miro
Close attention to detail, and the judgement to work on your own or as part of a team
Willingness to travel to customer sites for up to two weeks a quarter on average
Why Markinson
What you learn from customers goes straight to the people who build the product, so your work shapes the software as well as the implementation. AI is part of how we work every day: our consultants use Claude, Notion and Miro to spend less time on documentation and more time with customers, and the customer relationship stays with you. You’ll know the customers you work with and everyone in the business, and we’ll give you the equipment you need to do the job well.
How to apply
Apply through Seek with your CV. No need for a cover letter, unless you really want to stand out. If you’re shortlisted, we’ll ask you to write a short response setting your experience against our selection criteria. You must have the right to work in Australia.
