Job Description:

We are looking for a QAD ERP Support Analyst to join our IT team and provide technical and functional support for our QAD ERP system and related applications. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing solutions, managing projects, and resolving issues related to QAD ERP and its modules. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of work experience with QAD ERP, preferably in the manufacturing industry. You should also have a background in Progress 4GL development and knowledge of Adaptive User Experience (AUX). You should be able to communicate effectively with business users and stakeholders, as well as collaborate with other IT professionals and vendors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Define business systems requirements jointly working with management and professional staff in the organization.
2. Work with Developer and maintain QAD ERP customizations, reports, interfaces, and integrations using Progress 4GL and other tools.
3. Provide escalated support to business process issues not resolved through the normal business and IT support structures.
4. Manage and lead small business processes and solution related projects.
5. Conduct technical reviews and walk-through of IT design documentation with development and design team members.
6. Review and critique the technical documentation of other systems to assure quality products.
7. Stay updated on QAD ERP best practices, new features, and enhancements.
8. Train and mentor other QAD ERP users and analysts.

Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of work experience with QAD ERP, including QAD Enterprise Applications, QAD Financials, QAD Distribution, QAD Manufacturing, QAD Service and Support, and QAD Enterprise Asset Management.
• Proficient in Progress 4GL development, debugging, and testing.
• Familiar with QAD Adaptive User Experience (AUX) and QAD Web Services.
• Experience with QAD EDI, QAD QXtend, QAD Automation Solutions, QAD Business Intelligence, and QAD Cloud ERP is a plus.
• Experience in QAD EMT and EDI E-commerce modules.
• Adept in EDI and integration technologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Multi-Site QAD Application Support Experience working with business users directly to resolve issues.
• QAD ERP/MRP Applications Knowledge
  1. Business knowledge in an area such as Manufacturing, Logistics, etc. will be a plus.
  2. Experience in EMT and EDI E-commerce modules.
• Essential debugging/troubleshooting skills, programming knowledge for troubleshooting in languages such as Progress, SQL, Java, or XML is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with change management, release management and ticketing systems is good to have.
