About the role

We are seeking an experienced ESG Consultant to join our team in Cheras, Selangor on a full-time basis. In this strategic role, you will play a crucial part in advising organisations on their environmental, social and governance initiatives and helping them develop comprehensive ESG strategies that align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference in promoting sustainable business practices across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive ESG assessments and audits for clients, identifying key risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
• Develop tailored ESG strategies and implementation roadmaps aligned with client business goals and regulatory requirements
• Analyse environmental impacts, carbon footprints and sustainability performance metrics for organisations
• Provide guidance on social responsibility programmes, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and community engagement strategies
• Advise on governance frameworks, board composition, executive compensation and risk management structures
• Support clients with ESG reporting, including preparation of sustainability reports and alignment with international standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD)
• Conduct stakeholder engagement and materiality assessments to identify ESG priorities
• Monitor regulatory changes and emerging ESG trends to keep clients informed and compliant
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive consulting solutions
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders

What we 're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced qualification in Sustainability is advantageous
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ESG consulting, sustainability consulting, or related environmental and social governance advisory roles
• Demonstrable expertise in ESG frameworks, standards and reporting methodologies (GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISO 14001, SA 8000)
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations, climate change policies and sustainability best practices
• Proven experience developing and implementing ESG strategies for diverse organisations and sectors
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience presenting to C‑suite executives and board members
• Project management experience with the capacity to manage multiple clients and initiatives simultaneously
• Relevant certifications such as GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, Carbon Trust training or similar credentials are preferred
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building capabilities
• Knowledge of Malaysian and regional ESG regulations and industry practices is highly desirable
