WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN AN ESTATE PLANNING ATTORNEY

Preferred candidates will have experience in Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Elder Law or Elder Care Planning, collaborating with financial advisors and other professional partners, presenting educational workshops or seminars, and developing or implementing firm-wide business processes. • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Active Illinois Attorney license
• Ability to practice law in Illinois

DAY-TO-DAY

In this dynamic Estate Planning Attorney role, you'll spend your days meeting with prospective and existing clients to understand their goals and develop thoughtful estate planning strategies designed to protect what matters most. You'll guide families through estate administration and probate-related matters with professionalism and compassion, helping them navigate complex decisions during significant life transitions. Working closely with attorneys, financial advisors, fulfillment teams, and support staff, you'll oversee the drafting and review of estate planning documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with client objectives. Beyond client work, you'll have the opportunity to influence the firm's future by helping develop, implement, and improve organizational processes that support continued growth and exceptional client experiences across Central Illinois.

A SCHEDULE THAT SUPPORTS BALANCE

This is a full-time hybrid position serving clients through Edwards Group office locations and partner Financial Advisor locations throughout Central Illinois. You'll typically work approximately 40 hours per week during normal business hours, with most workdays concluding by 5:00 PM. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed to accommodate client needs and business demands.
