Pay: $165,000.00 - $280,000.00 per year

Location: Santa Barbara, CA — This is a fully on-site opportunity with a daily in-person presence at the office. Candidates must be able to commute to Santa Barbara each workday.

Note: Must have an active California Bar license in good standing, 2+ years of hands-on estate planning experience, 1+ year of probate experience, and 1+ year of conservatorship experience. This position is fully on-site, and relocation is not available.

Job Description

  • Advise clients on comprehensive estate planning and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents.
  • Handle probate matters and guide clients through probate administration and related proceedings.
  • Represent and advise clients in conservatorship matters.
  • Analyze complex family, financial, and legal circumstances to develop practical estate planning solutions.
  • Work directly with clients while building trusted, long-term professional relationships.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys and professionals across related practice areas.
  • Manage matters efficiently while maintaining a high standard of legal analysis, drafting, and client service.
  • Continue developing expertise in estate planning, probate, conservatorships, and related wealth planning matters.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of hands-on estate planning experience.
  • 1+ year of probate experience.
  • 1+ year of conservatorship experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, drafting, analytical, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative legal team.
  • Ability and willingness to work in person in Santa Barbara every business day.
