As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team as an Estimator on our Operations team.
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects, from initial concept to completion. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction materials, labor, and equipment, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as a part of a team. This individual will have a proven track record of producing accurate and timely estimates.
Responsibilities
- Project Analysis:
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications and other documentation to determine project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project conditions.
Cost Estimation:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to create accurate and comprehensive estimates.
- Analyze and compare competitive bids from subcontractors.
Bid Preparation:
- Prepare and submit competitive bids.
- Ensure that all bids are accurate and comply with project requirements.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating documents.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the construction team and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Provide value engineering suggestions.
Database Maintenance:
- Maintain and up-to-date database of cost information.
- Track and analyze cost trends.
