H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting an Estimator for an established engineering and construction business in Barnsley.

You’ll join a collaborative team, preparing estimates and supporting tenders across a varied range of projects. This would suit someone who enjoys working with technical drawings, building accurate costs and developing relationships with clients.

The role

• Review enquiries, drawings and specifications.
• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to gather information and clarify requirements.
• Identify commercial opportunities and potential risks.
• Manage multiple enquiries and work to submission deadlines.
• Maintain client relationships and support new business opportunities.

What we’re looking for

• Previous estimating experience within engineering, manufacturing or construction.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Confident communication and organisational skills.
• Experience within steelwork, fabrication or metalwork would be advantageous.
• A relevant technical or engineering qualification is desirable.
