Estimator- Commercial Landscape Construction
Teufel Landscape is seeking a motivated Estimator I to join our growing Washington Landscape Construction team in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in commercial construction estimating while working alongside experienced estimators on high-profile landscape construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing bid packages and organizing project documentation
- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and construction documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift software
- Gather and organize vendor pricing and subcontractor quotes
- Enter and maintain estimate information in Sage/Timberline
- Maintain bid records, wage rates, vendor databases, and estimating files
- Support project turnover documentation for awarded work
- Verify takeoff quantities and assist with cost analysis
- Follow company estimating processes, procedures, and standards
- Maintain confidentiality of company and client information
- Collaborate with estimators, project teams, and vendors to support successful bids
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of construction-related experience
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to learn estimating software and construction estimating processes
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial construction, landscape construction, or civil construction
- Familiarity with PlanSwift, Sage, or Timberline software
- Coursework or training related to construction management, estimating, or engineering
