About the job

Looking to do real estimating work for a fast-growing U.S. HVAC company — remotely, with a team that takes the work seriously? We are a leading residential HVAC services provider across the NYC tri-state area, driving the shift toward sustainable, high-efficiency heating and cooling systems — and we’re growing fast. We’re hiring a remote estimator — from takeoff to proposal — working closely with our U.S.-based field and sales teams. This role is for someone who’s detail-oriented, technically grounded in HVAC.

What’s in it for you

Competitive pay: $1,000–$2,000/mo USD based on experience

What you’ll do

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans, drawings, and field measurements for residential HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Identify scope gaps, flag risks, and resolve ambiguities before proposals go out the door
  • Build accurate, competitive bid packages — materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs — and prepare change order estimates as scope evolves
  • Collaborate with field supervisors and sales reps to refine estimates and support proposal close
  • Maintain and update estimating templates, cost databases, and historical bid data
  • Log and track change orders accurately in ServiceTitan or equivalent project management tools
  • Track bid-to-win ratios and continuously improve estimating accuracy across brands
  • Communicate proactively with U.S.-based team members via Slack, video call, and email with availability during core Eastern Time hours (8am–4pm ET minimum)

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years of estimating experience in HVAC, mechanical, or related residential/light commercial construction
  • Experience with takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Elite Software, or similar — Excel-based workflows considered)
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills — you’ll be working directly with a U.S. team
  • HVAC product knowledge (equipment, refrigerant types, duct systems, load calculations) strongly preferred; familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service platforms is a plus
  • Note: Our team runs on ServiceTitan for dispatching, job tracking, and project management. You’ll be expected to learn and work within the platform — prior experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided
  • Detail-oriented with strong math and analytical skills; comfortable managing multiple bids simultaneously
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to work U.S. Eastern Time
