As our Estimator, you’ll dig into architectural drawings and bid documents, build precise, competitive pricing, and help our Sales team win the work. Your numbers are what keep our bids sharp, our projects profitable, and our customers confident. What you’ll do:

• Review and analyze drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to build accurate cost estimates
• Perform material take-offs and labor estimates based on project scope
• Work with suppliers to keep pricing current and competitive
• Calculate materials, labor, equipment, overhead, and subcontractor costs, and run detailed cost summaries
• Use estimating software, spreadsheets, and industry tools to create clear, professional proposals
• Develop and submit competitive bids on time, protecting profitability and meeting project specifications
• Partner with Sales to deliver fast, reliable pricing for customer inquiries and to build bid packages for large account opportunities
• Uncover cost-saving opportunities in material purchasing and production methods
• Study historical data and market trends to sharpen future estimates
• Make sure every estimate lines up with company pricing strategy and profit goals
• Keep organized records of estimates, proposals, and bid submissions
• Prepare cost analysis reports and contribute to budget forecasting for upcoming projects
• Track awarded and lost bids to learn what’s working and improve our approach
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production to make sure what we price is what we can build
• Uphold our company values and help keep our workspace clean, orderly, and safe

What you bring:

• 3+ years of estimating experience, ideally in metal fabrication, construction, or architectural products
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Quick Bid, or similar)
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret complex project specifications and scope requirements
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• The ability to work independently and juggle multiple estimates under tight deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
