Position Overview:

The Estimator is a motivated, detail-oriented professional who supports the Estimating and Sales teams throughout the bid process. This role assists in preparing accurate cost estimates, gathering project materials, and ensuring a smooth transition of awarded contracts to the operations team. It provides an opportunity for professional growth within the field of estimating through hands-on experience in a collaborative, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Bid Assembly Support: Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and complete bid packages, ensuring all documentation is accurate.

• Information Gathering: Review drawings and specifications to collect relevant data on labor, materials, and time requirements.

• Material Quantification: Help quantify material needs and assist in developing proposals that reflect the full project scope.

• Supplier Communication: Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to collect pricing and confirm material availability.

• CAD Production: Support Estimators by generating CAD conceptual drawings and takeoffs from construction plans or satellite imagery.

• Project Update Coordination: Track and implement updates to bids based on project revisions, ensuring all stakeholders receive timely information.

• Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and detailed records of project estimates and technical documents.

• Quality Review: Participate in internal quality reviews of bid packages to identify and address errors.

• Collaborative Refining: Engage with Territory Managers and the estimating team to refine best practices and improve estimating accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field preferred.

• High School Diploma/GED

• Foundational experience in estimating or construction is an advantage.

• Strong analytical skills with a focus on organization and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.

• Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

• Team-oriented mindset with a strong eagerness to learn and develop.
