The ETI internship is an opportunity to work in the research arm of the National Defense Industrial Association. ETI interns will work alongside researchers and operations staff as they engage industry, academia, policymakers, and the public to explore emerging technologies’ impact on national security and opportunities for industry-government partnerships to increase U.S. competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams on innovative projects spanning various emerging technologies
  • Potential opportunities to co-author research reports in certain circumstances
  • Conduct literature reviews, data analysis, and support ongoing research efforts
  • Provide logistical support for NDIA's Emerging Technologies for Defense Conference and Exhibition at the DC Convention Center
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions, workshops, and seminars to explore new ideas and technologies
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications highlighting research findings and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program
  • Strong academic background with coursework or experience in areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, or other defense emerging technologies
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Enthusiasm for innovation, creativity, and a desire to make a meaningful impact

Program Details:

  • Duration: 15 weeks
  • Location: Hybrid at NDIA | ETI Headquarters, Arlington, VA
  • Compensation: Competitive stipend for in person
