Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior EUC DevOps Engineer to join the End User Computing (EUC) team within a major Dutch retail organization. In this role, you will be a key technical expert responsible for designing, managing, and evolving the Modern Workspace using Microsoft cloud technologies and DevOps practices.

You will play a critical role in the transition from legacy managed workspaces to modern, cloud-managed environments, driving automation, innovation, and operational excellence while ensuring an outstanding end-user experience.

Key Responsibilities

EUC & Modern Workspace

• Manage and develop Microsoft Intune–based Modern Workspace solutions for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices
• Lead the transition from legacy workspaces to cloud-managed modern workspaces
• Ensure secure, scalable, and user-friendly endpoint environments
• Manage device lifecycle, compliance policies, security baselines, and application delivery

DevOps & Automation

• Apply DevOps principles to EUC environments
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment of EUC solutions
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and shell scripting
• Continuously improve deployment speed, quality, and reliability

Virtual Desktop & Cloud

• Design, manage, and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
• Integrate EUC solutions with Microsoft Azure cloud services
• Support hybrid and cloud-first workspace strategies

Application Packaging & Delivery

• Package, wrap, test, and deploy applications for Windows and macOS
• Continuously enhance features and functionalities to meet evolving user needs

Monitoring, Operations & Support

• Develop and maintain real-time performance dashboards
• Proactively monitor environments and resolve issues
• Provide support during high-priority incidents to minimize downtime
• Coordinate service calls and escalations with Microsoft
• Work closely with the EUC team in Agile sprints
• Identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Service Desk teams
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and end users

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in EUC / Desktop Engineering / Workplace Services
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune
• Experience with MECM / SCCM in hybrid environments
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Strong PowerShell and shell scripting skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab)
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android enterprise management
• Good understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Knowledge of endpoint security, networking, and compliance
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps teams
• Fluent Dutch and strong English communication skills
• Digital: DevOps CI/CD
• Desktop Management – Infrastructure Services (IS)
