Europe & Middle East Content Localisation managerJob Description
So, who are we?
IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.4m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions — built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.
The bar is high — bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.
Join us at IG — the future gets built here.
Your team
Organic search is a core growth channel for IG. Our SEO team is responsible for making sure investors can find us, trust us and start their journey with us, and as we expand our presence across Europe, our websites are central to that. You'll join the team at an important moment, as we build out a dedicated European web presence and the content engine to go with it.
About this role
We're looking for a European Content & Localisation Manager to own how IG's content performs across our European& Middle Easr websites. You will decide what content is translated, what is tailored for a market and what is created locally, prioritise that work by search opportunity, and make sure it ranks and converts. You will also project-manage the content workstream of our migration to a new European website.
This role is based in our London office and reports into the SEO Lead. You will work day to day with our content editor and with Marketing, Compliance and commercial stakeholders, and alongside MarTech, who own the technical side of the migration. You'll be the person who thinks about our European websites as a whole: which content is relevant for which market, what can simply be translated, what needs real adaptation, and what to do first.
This is not a traditional SEO or editorial role. SEO experience is a plus, but what matters most is sound commercial judgement, strong project management and excellent language skills. Fluency in French or German is essential. We operate in a regulated industry, so experience in finance is a big plus.
What you'll do
- Own the European content roadmap, prioritising what gets localised, tailored or created by market based on search opportunity, commercial value and effort.
- Decide for each piece of content whether to translate, adapt or create locally, and set clear standards so these decisions are consistent and repeatable.
- Work with the content editor and other stakeholders to identify the content from our existing English-language library that is most relevant to European audiences, and bring it to market quickly.
- Manage translation partners and AI-assisted translation workflows, and act as the quality owner for French or German content, making sure tone, terminology and regulatory wording are right.
- Partner with Compliance to build a clear, efficient review process so content meets the requirements of each market without slowing us down.
- Project-manage the content workstream of the migration to our European website, including content inventory and audit, URL and content mapping, prioritisation, QA and launch checks, working with MarTech and the SEO Lead on technical delivery.
- Monitor and report on the search performance of European content, including rankings, organic traffic and conversions, and turn the findings into clear recommendations and priorities.
- Work with Marketing, Product and in-market stakeholders to make sure European content supports campaigns, launches and customer needs.
- Build clear documentation, templates and playbooks so the localisation process can scale across markets and languages.
- Find ways to help the team move faster and operate more strategically as a growth engine for IG. Curiosity with AI is a must.
What success looks like
- A clear, prioritised European content roadmap that stakeholders understand and support
- Migration content workstream delivered on time, with search visibility protected through the transition
- Measurable growth in organic traffic and conversions across priority European markets
- A well-documented, efficient localisation process with consistent quality and compliance sign-off
- High-quality French or German content that reads as if it was written locally
What you'll need for this role
- Fluent or native French or German, with excellent written and spoken English
- Proven experience in content, localisation, editorial or digital marketing roles, with a track record of delivering content at scale
- Strong project management skills, with experience delivering cross-functional projects to deadlines
- Commercial and data-led judgement, comfortable using performance data to prioritise and make decisions
- Strong stakeholder management and an ownership mindset, able to influence without direct authority
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurately at pace
- Curiosity about AI and how it can improve translation, content and reporting workflows
Nice to haves:
- Working knowledge of SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimisation and search performance reporting
- Experience with website migrations or replatforming
- Experience in financial services, fintech or another regulated industry
- Experience working with a CMS and with translation management tools or vendors
- Additional European languages, such as Spanish, Italian or Dutch
The perks:
It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognise your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on.
