Role Overview:
We are looking for experienced European Senior Medical Writers to support product launch activities across key European markets. This role requires strong expertise in localized medical communication, with a deep understanding of regional language nuances, healthcare systems, and regulatory environments. The ideal candidate can translate complex scientific data into market-relevant, culturally aligned, and compliant content for HCPs and patients.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop, review, and adapt medical content for European markets (Portugal, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Greece).
  • Support product launch communication including pre-launch, launch, and post-launch assets.
  • Create and localize content across formats (visual aids, slide decks, emailers, websites, brochures, patient materials, video scripts).
  • Ensure content aligns with local language, cultural context, and market expectations. Interpret and summarize clinical and scientific data into clear narratives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (medical, strategy, creative, digital).
  • Ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with regional regulations.
  • Participate in client discussions and provide market-specific insights.
Must have skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or related field with 5+ years experience in medical writing/communications.
  • Expertise in local market nuances (at least 1–2 of the listed target countries).
  • Proficiency in English and local European language(s) preferred: Portuguese, Dutch, German, French, Swedish, Danish, Polish, Greek.
  • Experience in content localization and adaptation for HCPs, patients, and consumers.
  • Experience in branded and non-branded pharma communication.
  • Familiarity with omni channel assets.
  • Strong scientific writing and storytelling skills.
  • Client-facing communication experience.

Nice-to-have:
  • Experience with EU regulatory guidelines (EMA, local codes).
  • Exposure to multilingual content workflows (e.g., Veeva).
  • Experience working with regional affiliates.
