Evaluation & Research Manager
The Evaluation and Research Team within the Office of Child Development is a multi-disciplinary unit dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through evaluation and research partnerships with both local and national nonprofit organizations. The Evaluation and Research Manager is responsible for managing the comprehensive evaluation of educational and support programs for children and families in South West Pennsylvania as part of the Evaluation and Research Team at the Office of Child Development.
Collaboration, communication, and strong relationship building skills are key as successful evaluation work is dependent on robust relationships with internal and external partners. The incumbent will support the design and implementation of research, intervention, and educational development and evaluation projects and support the dissemination of research findings and program models in both academic and non-academic outlets. They will lead and manage data collection activities and craft technical reports and other documentation. The incumbent will also develop research strategies and project goals, ensure timeline adherence, and create measurement tools and protocols to be used by Evaluation Coordinators, and mentors Coordinators in evaluation techniques. The employee will be responsible for executing multi-year program evaluations, and the dissemination of findings in both academic and non-academic outlets.
Other key duties include proposal writing; project development in collaboration with external partners and funders; evaluation design, oversight and creation of databases; project management; evaluation design and implementation;quantitative and qualitative data collection, data analysis; and technical report writing.
