Dietary Aide Job Description
A Dietary Aide helps prepare, serve, and clean up meals in a nursing home or care facility. This role is an important part of making sure residents receive their meals on time in a clean, friendly, and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Help prepare meal trays and beverages for residents
- Serve meals and snacks in the dining room or resident areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and work areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with stocking supplies and putting away food items
- Work as part of the dietary team to keep mealtime running smoothly
Qualifications
- Friendly, dependable, and willing to learn
- Able to work well with others
- Good attendance and positive attitude
- Able to follow directions and safety rules
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items during the shift
Schedule
- Evening hours: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- A few evenings per week
