Visiting Angels Pittsburgh is hiring experienced, compassionate caregivers to support seniors in Pittsburgh and surrounding communities. We’re looking for caregivers available for daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend assignments, especially those who can work more than one shift type.

Scheduling: Tell Us When You Can Work

We want to hear from caregivers with availability beyond weekday daytime hours, including:

• Early mornings and daytime shifts

• Evening shifts

• Overnight shifts

• Saturday and Sunday shifts

• A combination of these shifts

You do not need to be available around the clock. Please tell us which days and hours you can consistently work so we can consider you for assignments that fit your availability.

We offer scheduling flexibility, and we count on caregivers to arrive on time and reliably work the shifts they accept.

Pay, Bonuses & Benefits

• $15–$21 per hour, based on experience

• $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible employees

• Additional $2 per hour for weekend shifts

What You’ll Do

Help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes through one-on-one care. Depending on each client’s care plan, responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene

• Providing companionship and emotional support

• Helping with walking, mobility, and prescribed exercises

• Preparing meals and assisting with eating

• Providing medication reminders

• Helping with light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping

• Accompanying clients to appointments and outings

• Observing and reporting changes in a client’s condition

• Following care plans, safety procedures, and emergency protocols

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking caregivers who are compassionate, professional, and dependable and who understand that clients count on them to be there.

Qualifications include:

• At least 18 years old

• At least one year of experience in caregiving, healthcare, hospitality, or a related setting

• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation for scheduled shifts

• Ability to work independently in a one-on-one care setting

• Strong communication and time-management skills

• Willingness to follow client care plans and health and safety standards

• Consistent availability that meets the scheduling requirement above

• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant caregiver experience, as applicable to the position

• Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Hoyer lift experience may be required for specific client assignments. We offer paid training.
