YOUR NEW ROLE

Join the team that brings world-class events to life at the Sydney Opera House. As Event Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating and delivering a diverse range of events from concept through to completion. Acting as the primary contact for clients, you will build trusted relationships, advocate for customer needs and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver exceptional event experiences.

This dynamic role requires strong organisational skills, sound judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities, resources, budgets and timelines in a fast-paced environment. ARE YOU THE ONE?

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in theatre and event management, including company, stage and production management, and delivery of a wide range of events (e.g. corporate, exhibitions, festivals, civic, community, functions, sporting and performing arts), with strong understanding of planning and operational requirements..
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant professional experience in event management.
  • Proven leadership capability in complex, high-pressure environments, including strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to motivate self and others.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and oversight of financial processes.
  • Strong contract management and project delivery expertise, including interpreting and implementing contracts, advanced use of event management systems, and exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple concurrent events with accuracy and attention to detail.
