Event Coordinator

Open 20d

Summary

Coordinates daily venue operations and end-to-end corporate/social events at a gaming entertainment venue, handling guest service, event planning, and post-event follow-up.

THE ROLE

This is a dual role. On most days you are on the floor — hosting guests, running the game store and keeping the venue in good shape. When an event is booked, you own it end to end, from the first enquiry through to the post-event follow-up.

It suits someone who enjoys being in front of people, and who can switch between routine service work and project-style event planning in the same week.

VENUE OPERATIONS (DAY TO DAY)

- Welcome walk-in and pre-booked guests; brief them on games, rules and safety

- Work the game floor: explain how machines and games work, assist players, resolve stuck credits, prizes and payment issues

- Keep the venue clean, stocked and safe; restock prizes and tokens, and report machine faults promptly

- Handle bookings and enquiries by phone, WhatsApp, email and social media

EVENT COORDINATION

- Respond to corporate, school and group enquiries; recommend packages and prepare quotations

- Plan each event: run-of-show, staffing roster, catering, AV, props and venue setup

- Coordinate internal crew and external vendors on event day; act as on-site lead and host

- Manage the event on the day — timing, guest flow and on-the-spot problem solving

- Post-event: gather feedback, support invoicing, and collect photos and clips for marketing

- Track the enquiry pipeline and build repeat relationships with returning clients

REQUIREMENTS

- Confident speaking in front of groups of 10 to 60 people

- Able to communicate in English and Mandarin, in order to serve our Mandarin-speaking guests and corporate clients

- Available on weekends, public holidays and evenings

- Organised, and able to juggle floor duties alongside an event timeline

- Comfortable working around cats

ADVANTAGEOUS

- 1 or more years in events, F&B, retail, tourism or attractions

- Experience hosting or facilitating team-building activities

- Basic photo or video editing and social content skills

- Familiarity with POS and online booking systems
