Events Manager (Orange County)
Description
Who We’re Looking For
Lifetime Home Remodeling is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Events Manager to build our events program in Orange County from the ground up. Our Events team has run more than 500 events in a single year. Orange County is our next big chance to turn community events and retail partnerships into qualified appointments and revenue.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who wants to build something, not just maintain it. You enjoy face-to-face selling and coaching, and you’re comfortable with an open schedule, especially weekends. You treat events as a growth hustle measured by leads, appointments and revenue.
What’s In It for You
- $73,000 base salary + commission + team bonuses
- A ground-floor opportunity to build a new market’s events program
- A clear path into leadership as the Orange County program and team grow
- Hands-on coaching and performance management experience alongside Lifetime’s Retail Activation leadership
- Training and career development opportunities
- Full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) with company match, PTO and paid holidays
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with significant growth potential
What You’ll Be Doing
Drive Personal Production: Work Orange County events and Costco retail and roadshow locations on a regular weekly schedule. Learn Lifetime’s products, approved scripting, lead capture and qualification inside and out, and turn conversations into set and issued appointments.
Build the Orange County Events Program: Find community events, fairs, festivals, home shows, sporting events and other venues, and recommend them to the Regional Events Coordinator based on expected leads, issued appointments and cost. Help build a steady, year-round event calendar instead of one-off events.
Coach Brand Ambassadors: Join the Retail Activation Managers on check-ins and in-field coaching to learn Lifetime’s approach to coaching and accountability. Then coach the Brand Ambassadors working Orange County events on lead capture, qualification and appointment setting.
Keep Retail Coverage Strong: Be the first person to cover Costco call-offs and open roadshow shifts, so retail partnership obligations are always met. Step in to boost lead volume at locations with staffing or performance gaps.
Execute Events: Set up, staff and break down event booths and retail roadshow displays (tent, 8-foot table, window and bath samples, signage). Handle load-in and load-out to each venue’s and partner’s requirements, and safely transport equipment, including driving a company box truck and/or truck with trailer.
Evaluate Performance: Track leads, issued appointments and closed revenue for each event, and recommend which events to renew, expand or drop. Monitor lead rate, set rate and conversion across retail locations and events.
Build Relationships: Build strong relationships with event organizers, venue staff and other vendors, and represent Lifetime as a positive, professional presence at every event.
Report & Improve: Report regularly to the Senior Retail Activation Manager on event results, check-in activity and field observations. Act as the voice of the field, and find process improvements that raise efficiency and ROI.
Lead by Example: Follow Lifetime’s policies, production standards and dress code to the highest level in every field interaction, and help reinforce those standards alongside Retail Activation leadership.
What You Need
- Required: 2+ years of experience in sales, face-to-face lead generation, events or field marketing
- Prior experience training, coaching or supervising others preferred
- Proven ability to build relationships with event organizers, venue partners or vendors is a plus
- Interest in coaching and developing people, with the goal of growing into leadership
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to coach on process and execution
- Skilled with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms and lead capture tools (iPad/smartphone), with the ability to troubleshoot for team members in the field
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and ability to be added to Lifetime’s company auto policy, including driving a box truck and/or truck with trailer
- Willingness to drive daily between retail locations and events across Orange County
- Commitment to an open, flexible schedule, typically 45 to 55 hours per week, including most weekends, early starts and late finishes
- Must pass a background check, including a motor vehicle records (MVR) check
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for 6+ hours per shift
- Ability to spend 4+ hours in a vehicle as needed
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
- Ability to load, set up, break down and transport roadshow displays and the full events kit (tent, 8-foot table, samples, signage), including the Infinity by Marvin and Kohler roadshow kits
- Ability to safely load, secure and unload equipment in a box truck or trailer, including using ramps and straps
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather, including heat, cold, wind and rain
- Ability to split time between retail locations, outdoor events, travel and occasional office work
