Description
Marketing Manager
📍 London (hybrid) | Reporting to Marketing Lead
About Elect Capital
Elect Capital is changing how SMEs access funding. We provide fast, flexible working capital loans, business loans, and merchant cash advances — no red tape, no slow decisions. Live across the UK, Australia, Canada, and the US, and scaling fast, we give SMEs the speed and flexibility traditional lenders can't.
🎯 Our Mission
We exist to give SMEs the capital and confidence to grow — fast, fair, and friction-free. Every ambitious business deserves a real shot at growth, not months of paperwork. We've built lending for speed, without cutting corners on fairness. When SMEs win, we win.
The Role
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to build awareness of Elect with brokers and SMEs and own our top-of-funnel marketing. Roughly half your time goes on content across our owned channels (website, blog, social, video and a regular podcast), and the other half on events: around 12 trade shows and broker events a year, plus hosted round tables. The two feed each other — every event should create content, and every piece of content should help fill the next event.
Key Responsibilities
- Own top-of-funnel marketing across our website, blog, social media, video and podcast, building awareness of Elect with brokers and SMEs and representing the brand consistently across every external touchpoint
- Plan and run a regular content calendar across all social channels, growing our audience and engagement
- Launch and run Elect’s podcast and short-form video, from booking guests through to publishing, with freelance support for editing
- Keep the website and blog fresh with regular content for brokers and SMEs
- Identify and prioritise the right industry events, conferences and expos across our markets (UK, Australia, Canada, US) to attend or sponsor
- Own end-to-end event logistics across around 12 events a year plus hosted round tables, from booking and stand design through to on-the-day execution
- Turn every event and round table into content (podcast episodes, video clips, social posts and follow-up emails), and build a lead capture process that converts conversations into tracked pipeline entries
- Work with Sales and Partnerships to follow up on leads, and report on content performance, event ROI, lead volume and pipeline contribution
🔍 What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in content and events marketing, ideally within fintech, financial services or B2B lending
- Hands-on experience creating content across social media, video and podcasts, and managing a website or blog
- A strong network or working knowledge of relevant industry events and conferences
- Comfortable owning a project end-to-end, from planning through to reporting on results
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple events and campaigns at once
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive, hands-on attitude
Bonus
- Experience marketing to brokers, SMEs, or within the alternative lending/MCA space
- Experience hosting or moderating podcasts, panels or round tables
- Basic design or video editing skills (e.g. Canva, Figma, CapCut)
