Asda is looking for an Events Planning Manager to work in our Trade Planning team on a full time and permanent contract basis.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we continue to evolve our customer proposition and create compelling events that bring the Asda customer plan to life. This is a key development role for anyone looking to broaden their skill set and would suit someone with a trading, retail or customer background.
You will work across multiple categories and business functions, leading the planning, coordination and delivery of major customer events and seasonal campaigns. Acting as the central point of contact for assigned events, you will ensure teams are aligned behind a shared vision and plan, managing as a project to a critical path & delivering an offer that is customer first.
This role reports into the Lead Events Manager and sits within the Trade Planning team.
The key areas of responsibility will be to:
Be the central point of contact for assigned events, translating the customer and commercial strategy into actionable.
Lead the development and execution of cross-category event plans, ensuring alignment between commercial, marketing, operations, supply chain, online, customer and category teams.
Coordinate stakeholders across the business to deliver key trading events and seasonal moments, ensuring clear ownership, governance and execution.
Develop integrated event plans using customer, market and performance insight to create engaging customer propositions that support Asda's growth ambitions.
Manage event critical paths, key milestones, risks and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
Facilitate post-event reviews, capturing performance, customer feedback and key learnings to continually improve future events.
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify new opportunities for customer engagement, innovation and differentiation.
Support wider customer planning and business initiatives as required.
About You
Experience in trading, category management, trade planning, customer planning or retail operations.
Handle conflict when it occurs, often with senior team members
Experience of using customer, market and business data to build insight-led plans and recommendations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
Comfortable managing ambiguity, resolving conflict and driving alignment across diverse teams.
Ability to think strategically whilst maintaining a strong focus on execution and delivery.
