Supports students and academic staff with exam administration, grading, and documentation at a Berlin business school. Organizes campus examinations, tracks academic progress, and manages data using MS Office.
BSBI is recruiting for a new, full-time position in the Exams and Assessments department. The Exams and Assessments Officer will provide support to all registered BSBI students and academic staff for matters relating to exams, assignments, grading, and graduating documentation. This position reports to the Exams and Assessments Manager.
In this role you will process day-to-day tasks of the exams and assessments services provided by the BSBI. Your tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Being the central point of contact for all student and staff enquiries related to examinations and assessments. This includes release of assignments, notifying tutors of marking and deadlines, and releasing grades to students.
- Assisting in the organisation of on campus examinations, including but not limited to, timetabling, sourcing examination papers, approval from partner institutions, preparing printouts and rooms for examinations, processing of exam papers, and examination invigilation.
- Liaising with academic partner institutions with regards to student grades and records.
- Processing Examinations and Assessments administration
- Taking on the role as main administrator for a programme and covering all required administration for that programme with minimal supervision.
- Organising and administration of Academic Misconduct Panels to deal with cases of academic misconduct or cheating.
- Developing and implementing internal procedures where current procedures may be found to be lacking or in need of updating.
- To track student academic progress, and flag students who may be experiencing difficulties, need intervention, or to be forwarded to a withdrawal board due to lack of academic progress.
- Tracking the costs of re-takes for students and ensuring all those fees are paid before students obtain results, dissertation supervisors, progression etc.
- Previous work experience in an administrative position
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are both a must in this position due to the volume and importance of data handled on a daily basis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English
- High level of computer literacy (MS Office, particularly Excel)
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- The ability to work independently, whilst still following a strict set of regulations.
- Previous experience in educational administration
- German language skills
