Responsibilities
- Operate excavator safely and efficiently to meet job requirements and project timelines
- Perform excavation, loading, lifting, and leveling tasks with precision and care
- Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of excavator to ensure optimal performance
- Follow all safety regulations and site procedures while operating machinery
- Report mechanical faults or safety concerns promptly to supervisors for timely resolution
- Support site work activities as needed to maintain smooth operations
- Complete any other ad-hoc duties assigned to support the team and project goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid Excavator Operator licence or certification (e.g., WSQ) to operate machinery legally and safely
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Possess relevant working experience as an excavator operator to enhance job performance
- Demonstrate familiarity with site safety procedures to contribute to a safe work environment
- Exhibit responsibility, safety awareness, and ability to work independently under supervision
- Availability for overtime work to meet project demands
