Role Summary
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative and project support to members of the Field Leadership Team, helping leaders manage priorities, coordinate communication, and drive key initiatives forward in support of business objectives.
The role serves as a key liaison among leaders, associates, and internal and external partners, helping ensure clear communication and strong coordination across the business. It manages executive schedules, meetings, travel, presentations, and follow-through on key priorities to keep work moving efficiently.
Success in this role requires strong judgment, discretion, curiosity, and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate builds a deep understanding of the business, develops trusted relationships across the organization, and is comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment with professionalism, adaptability, and attention to detail.
This position currently offers an onsite work schedule, with the expectation that you will be in the office four (4) days per week during onsite core days. Our current onsite core days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The work schedule type and core days are subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective administrative support to members of the Field Leadership team.
- Commit to developing a deep understanding of both channel and Company models of culture and business structures.
- Serve as liaison between Distribution and associates; act as ambassador and spokesperson to coordinate communication between Field Leaders, associates, and internal/external customers.
- Manage demanding schedules, including meetings, conferences, agendas, travel arrangements, logistics, and business travel expense reports.
- Support channel-wide communication, event coordination, and information flow.
- Plan, prepare, and coordinate presentations and related materials partnering with internal Marketing & Brand associates.
- Assist with planning, communicating, and coordinating projects, including documenting planning conversations, managing stakeholder relationships, running team meetings, and assisting with onboarding.
- Partner with directly with other Distribution administrative professionals and the Administrative Professionals Group at-large; provide backup support as needed.
- Participate in special projects and transformation teams as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, equivalent years of job experience, or certification.
- Administrative experience with a demonstrated record of success as a leadership administrative professional.
- High level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work without direct supervision, think independently to solve problems, and make recommendations with tact and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of a variety of software applications and the ability to rapidly learn new company-specific systems and processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and manage multiple competing tasks and demands.
- Willingness and availability to work the hours necessary to meet business demands.
- Ability to complete assignments efficiently and in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Project coordination experience.
- Ability to pass a background check.

- Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a life insurance company setting, or comparable industry experience.
- Experience supporting multiple leaders in a complex business environment.

Base Pay Range. The base pay range for this position is the range National Life reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors, including: prior experience and job-related knowledge; education, training and certificates; current business needs; and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.
Additional Compensation and Benefits. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in National Life’s discretionary annual incentive programs, subject to the rules governing such programs. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and National Life reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
