Executive Assistant
The Smithsonian Institution is the world's largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located at the Smithsonian Institution, Under Secretary for Museums & Culture, Center for Folklife & Cultural Heritage (CFCH).
The Executive Assistant ensures that the principal, the unit director, manage and meet all priorities and obligations related to CFCH's contributions to the success of the Smithsonian Institution. In this position, you will: Ensure smooth operations of Director's front office, managing day-to-day office activities. Coordinate and track the flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence. Provide oversight of meeting planning and scheduling, conferences, and travel. Design and organizes filing systems; locating and assembling information. Coordinate and prioritize a large amount of paperwork and electronic documents. Monitor & facilitate all communication, serving as the primary point of contact for Director and other senior staff. Collaborate with management and staff for fulfillment of assignments and commitments, ensuring goals are adhered and products are delivered in a timely manner.
