Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive, commercially driven, and analytical Executive – Business Development to support the growth and expansion of a dynamic business operating within the energy and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying emerging opportunities, coordinating commercial transactions, managing stakeholder relationships, and supporting strategic business growth initiatives. This role requires a strong combination of commercial awareness, market intelligence, customer relationship management, and operational coordination capabilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple business functions while contributing to business development, customer acquisition, and commercial performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate, and analyze market intelligence to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential business prospects.
• Monitor industry developments, customer requirements, competitor activities, and market movements to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare market analysis reports and provide actionable recommendations to management.
• Support the identification, evaluation, and development of new business opportunities.
• Assist in customer acquisition initiatives and contribute towards achieving business growth targets.
• Coordinate commercial transactions and ensure the smooth execution of business activities.
• Monitor shipment progress and coordinate logistics-related activities to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage commercial documentation and ensure accuracy of records throughout transaction lifecycles.
• Liaise with customers, principals, suppliers, freight providers, and other stakeholders to support operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers, international principals, suppliers, and service providers.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns and support high standards of service delivery.
• Maintain accurate commercial, operational, customer, and transaction records.
• Prepare management reports, operational summaries, performance updates, and business reviews.
• Support compliance, governance, and audit-related requirements.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of commercial and operational objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in Business Development, Commercial Operations, Logistics Coordination, Customer Relations, Trading Support, or a similar role.
• Experience within the Energy, Industrial, Engineering, Shipping, Logistics, or Trading sectors will be a distinct advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive business mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities within tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Professional, confident, and customer-focused approach to work.
