Executive Consultant, EMMP
- Technical resource for environmental management and monitoring plan (EMMP), environmental baseline surveys (EBS), environmental impact assessment (EIA)
- Design, develop, and update EMMP technical specification for terrestrial environments in compliance with regulatory requirements and project objectives.
- Define monitoring indicators, methodologies, and reporting frameworks.
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
- Coordinate and conduct field monitoring activities, including soil, vegetation, wildlife, and habitat assessments.
- Perform monitoring for water quality, air quality, and noise levels in terrestrial project areas.
- Verify accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Monitor adherence to environmental standards, permits, and legal obligations.
- Analyze monitoring results and recommend effective mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholder representatives.
- Prepare and present environmental performance reports.
- Contribute to adaptive management strategies based on monitoring results.
- Research and integrate best practices and innovative technologies for environmental monitoring.
- Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
- Develop cost estimates of technical efforts for EMMP, EBS and EIA projects
- Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in environmental management, monitoring, and compliance for terrestrial projects.
- Experience with environmental monitoring techniques (soil, water, air, noise, biodiversity).
- Familiarity with EIA, EMMP, and EBS processes.
- Ability to use data analysis tools (Excel, GIS, or statistical software).
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and coordinate field activities.
- Experience with field surveys and sampling protocols.
- Budgeting and cost estimation skills for environmental projects.
- Candidates with strong experience may be considered for a senior-level appointment.
