About the Role:
We are seeking a highly accomplished, strategic, and dynamic.
Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer (ED & COO)
to lead our regional FinTech operations hub. As a core member of the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our regional business growth, driving corporate governance, and overseeing day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between financial technology, regulatory compliance, and business scale, ensuring cross-functional synergy across technology, operations, finance, and human resources to maintain a high-performing and agile corporate ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Board Governance: Collaborate closely with the Board to formulate and execute mid-to-long-term regional FinTech expansion strategies, translating high-level visions into actionable cross-functional KPIs and OKRs.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations of our consolidated regional hub, streamlining workflows, optimizing operational costs, and implementing robust digital frameworks to enhance productivity across multi-unit teams.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Partner with compliance and risk departments to ensure all FinTech products, cross-border payment operations, and systems strictly adhere to local and international financial regulations (e.g., MAS guidelines, AML/CFT frameworks, data privacy, and payment licensing).
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Foster seamless collaboration and alignment between key departments, including Product/Tech R&D, Operations, Finance, Risk Management, and HR, to drive client-facing and compliance-led obligations.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Act as a key representative of the company in high-level engagements with strategic institutional partners, key enterprise clients, financial vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Talent & Culture Leadership: Mentor, lead, and grow senior and mid-level management teams; cultivate an inclusive, high-accountability corporate culture aligned with the fast-paced nature of the FinTech industry.
Job Requirements
- Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration (MBA preferred), or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role (e.g., COO, VP, General Manager, or Executive Director).
- Proven track record within the FinTech, Digital Banking, Third-Party Payments, or Cross-Border Financial Services sectors.
- Expertise & Skills:
- Deep understanding of FinTech business models, clearing and settlement processes, transaction risk mitigation, and regional regulatory landscapes (specifically Singapore/Southeast Asia).
- Strong background in managing cross-functional, executive-level personnel and multi-unit operational environments.
- Excellent strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and institutional problem-solving capabilities under high-pressure scenarios.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate, negotiate, and present effectively to the Board, regulatory authorities, and key corporate clients.
