Description

About this role:

This position will be responsible for internal and external communications and events management for our APAC business within Corporate & Investment Banking. The individual will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, translating business priorities into clear messaging, supporting internal communications across the region, and planning and executing high-impact events. Given the breadth of the role, we are seeking a candidate with demonstrated strength in either communications or events management, along with a genuine interest in developing expertise in the other discipline. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating across both areas and eager to broaden their capabilities over time.

Specific responsibilities include:

Communications:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, developing and delivering executive communications (e.g., town halls and leadership memos) that are aligned to business priorities.

  • Manage internal communications initiatives, working closely with the business and functions (HR, Legal, Finance), developing messaging, recommending the right channels, and ensuring a consistent voice across the region.

  • Write, develop, and distribute the International newsletter reaching employees across APAC and EMEA.

  • Support external communications, including advising APAC executives on media opportunities and managing relationships with key financial reporters; help mitigate negative coverage by ensuring accurate reporting and shaping narratives where appropriate.

  • Support regional executive visibility through social media.

Events:

  • Plan, manage, and execute the full lifecycle of regional events — including client conferences, town halls, leadership forums, and corporate hospitality --- from concept through on-site delivery.

  • Own end-to-end event logistics: venue sourcing, vendor management, run-of-show, and post-event wrap-up.

  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships to ensure quality service and cost discipline; finalize event budgets and track spend against approvals.

  • Measure event effectiveness through attendee engagement metrics and feedback, applying learnings to continuously improve outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations, Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience crafting executive communications and translating business decisions into clear messages.

  • Experience managing multi-channel strategies for large, distributed audiences.

  • Experience planning corporate meetings & events, and in contracting and partnering with event vendors.

  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades and influences decision makers.

  • Experience building strong relationships and working across large organizations.
