The successful candidate will partner with senior executives, engineering leaders, product organizations, and architecture teams to define future-state technology strategies, accelerate adoption of AI-enabled capabilities, and drive modernization across the enterprise. Success in this role requires the ability to influence without authority, align diverse stakeholder groups, translate complex technical topics into business outcomes, and lead transformational change at enterprise scale.
Job responsibilities
- Support executive decision-making by framing strategic technology options, investment priorities, and transformation opportunities aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Influence enterprise-wide technology direction by partnering with senior leaders to drive organizational alignment and strategic outcomes across multiple lines of business.
- Define enterprise technology strategies, future-state architectures, modernization roadmaps, and transformation initiatives that enable business growth and operational effectiveness.
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate strategic analysis, technology evaluation, architectural decision-making, and transformation planning.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and disruptive innovations while guiding executive stakeholders toward scalable and sustainable adoption approaches.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology leaders, shaping enterprise technology strategy and organizational priorities.
- Develop reusable architecture approaches, automation strategies, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable operating models that enable modernization and enterprise agility.
- Establish enterprise patterns, paved paths, and adoption frameworks that accelerate simplification, modernization, reuse, and operational efficiency.
- Partner across engineering, product, operations, and business teams to identify strategic opportunities for transformation, innovation, and organizational improvement.
- Assess platform strategies, modernization initiatives, emerging technology investments, and enterprise transformation opportunities that can scale across the organization.
- Mentor architects and technology leaders while fostering a culture of innovation, strategic thinking, modernization, and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 10+ years experience leading enterprise-wide technology strategy, architecture transformation, modernization programs, or large-scale organizational change initiatives.
- Proven success influencing executive stakeholders and shaping strategic direction within large, complex organizations.
- Deep expertise in at least one major technology domain including cloud, AI/ML, enterprise platforms, data architecture, distributed systems, or software engineering.
- Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to architecture, engineering, and strategic planning activities.
- Proven ability to integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise environments while balancing innovation, resiliency, security, and regulatory expectations.
- Experience driving enterprise technology adoption, future-state operating model transformation, and large-scale modernization initiatives.
- Ability to connect technology strategy with measurable business outcomes and enterprise priorities.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling capabilities with the ability to influence executive and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and achieve alignment across business, product, architecture, and engineering organizations through influence rather than direct authority.
- Demonstrated experience creating scalable enterprise technology patterns, modernization approaches, and adoption models with measurable business impact.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience defining enterprise technology strategy or transformation roadmaps within large financial services or similarly complex organizations.
- Experience leading AI-enabled transformation, platform modernization, cloud transformation, or enterprise technology evolution initiatives.
- Strong understanding of modern engineering principles including platform engineering, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, and observability.
- Relevant certifications such as cloud certifications, TOGAF, PMP, CISSP, or equivalent technology leadership credentials.
- Proven track record influencing executive stakeholders and driving enterprise-wide strategic change.
- Experience operating within highly regulated environments while balancing innovation, resilience, risk management, and business objectives.
