We are looking to hire an Executive Director to join our WellQuest Living team.
The Executive Director is responsible for the efficient operation, overall management, and direction of the day-to-day functions at the community in accordance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The Executive Director will hire, evaluate, coordinate, monitor performance, schedule and supervise staff in accordance with company policy. The Executive Director is also responsible for achieving and maintaining budgeted occupancy; achieving and maintaining budgetary compliance; representing the senior living property to the community and the Corporation; and, creating a supportive and enjoyable lifestyle for all residents.
Duties:
1. Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the overall management and control of the activities and programs of the property, its residents and financial assets.
2. Familia with and responsible for the property’s compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as all laws, regulations, and legal requirements governing the operation of the property.
3. Monitor marketing and sales efforts and to project monthly achievements of targeted census goals.
4. Recruit, hire, evaluate, coordinate, motivate, monitor performance, schedule and supervise staff in accordance with company policy.
5. Consult with department directors concerning the operation of their departments.
6. May interview potential residents and families, complete a pre-placement assessment and needs and services plan, obtain medical records and other requirements as outlined in Title 22 for admission to the community.
7. Ensure management team complies with their continuing education program requirements.
8. Assure implementation of all operating and financial controls required under company policy.
9. Maintain the physical property and services necessary to support the safety, health, and well-being of the residents.
10. Ensures provision of services to the residents with appropriate regard for the residents’ physical and mental well-being and needs, including those services identified in the residents’ pre-admission appraisal.
11. Ensures residents are able to attend activities and programs including community programs and arranging for transportation.
12. Conduct exit-interviews with residents as needed to determine areas for community improvement to provide a high level of resident satisfaction.
13. Represent the property in dealing with outside agencies, including government agencies.
14. Develop a strong referral development program by serving as primary liaison with and taking a leadership role in the community regarding aging and dementia issues.
15. Recognizes and responds to changes in the senior, dementia care and hospitality industries and responds appropriately.
16. Responsible for the workplace safety including, but not limited to, active Safety Committee, adherence to all OSHA requirements, proper safety training for all employees, injury and illness Prevention Plan, Hazard Communications Plan, Exposure Control Plan and management of workers’ compensation injuries.
17. Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performance of daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
18. Support a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.
