Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Residence Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in or be able to reliably commute to Lekki Phase 1. Relocation support/accommodation will not be provided.

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and safety-conscious Driver to provide reliable transportation and professional driving services to management and designated personnel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of assigned personnel, maintaining the vehicle in good operating condition, and complying with all applicable road traffic and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate must be punctual, trustworthy, disciplined, discreet, familiar with Lagos roads, and capable of maintaining a high standard of professionalism at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving & Transportation
- Provide safe, professional, and reliable transportation to the assigned executive, management personnel, staff, clients, or other authorised passengers.
- Drive passengers to and from official appointments, meetings, business engagements, airports, residences, events, and other approved destinations.
- Maintain punctuality and ensure passengers arrive at their destinations safely and on time.
- Plan routes effectively and use knowledge of Lagos traffic patterns to minimise delays.
- Use navigation applications and other available tools to identify efficient routes and avoid unnecessary delays.
- Remain available and flexible based on approved work schedules and transportation requirements.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with passengers, clients, visitors, and members of the public.
Vehicle Management & Maintenance
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip checks to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
- Monitor fuel levels, tyre pressure, engine oil, coolant, brakes, lights, battery, and other essential vehicle components.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, presentable, secure, and properly maintained at all times.
- Report mechanical faults, warning indicators, accidents, damage, or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Coordinate routine servicing and repairs as authorised by Management.
- Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, servicing, repairs, mileage, and other vehicle-related activities where required.
- Ensure all vehicle documents and statutory requirements are valid and up to date.
Safety & Compliance
- Strictly comply with applicable Nigerian traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company transportation policies.
- Observe speed limits and practise defensive and responsible driving at all times.
- Never operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair driving ability.
- Ensure passengers comply with applicable safety requirements, including the use of seat belts.
- Exercise heightened caution when transporting senior management, clients, or other authorised passengers.
- Immediately report traffic incidents, accidents, vehicle damage, or other safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain the confidentiality of passenger movements, schedules, destinations, conversations, and other information obtained in the course of duty.
Administrative & Support Duties
- Maintain accurate daily movement, mileage, fuel, and trip records where required.
- Assist with loading and unloading reasonable personal or work-related items when necessary.
- Support airport pickups, drop-offs, business errands, document deliveries, and other authorised transportation-related assignments.
- Assist with vehicle-related administrative tasks, including documentation renewals and approved maintenance activities.
- Perform other reasonable driving and logistics-related duties assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of SSCE, OND/ND, or HND from a recognised institution.
- Possession of a valid Nigerian driver's licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
- Valid LASRRA registration/card or proof of registration, where applicable.
- Current and verifiable vehicle-driving documentation as required by applicable Nigerian and Lagos State regulations.
- Candidates must have all relevant personal and driving documentation required for lawful employment and operation of the assigned vehicle.
- Minimum of 3 years' professional driving experience is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Corporate Driver, Executive Driver, Personal Driver, Family Driver, or Company Driver will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Lekki, Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lagos Island, and other major Lagos routes.
- Good knowledge of Lagos traffic patterns and alternative routes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use Google Maps, Waze, or similar navigation applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.
- Physically fit and capable of performing the requirements of the role.
- Must be punctual, reliable, disciplined, respectful, and well-presented.
- Must have a clean and responsible driving record.
DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be able to provide valid and verifiable documentation, including, where applicable:
- Valid Nigerian Driver's Licence.
- LASRRA registration/card or valid evidence of registration.
- National Identification Number (NIN) or other applicable identification documentation.
- Relevant vehicle/driver documentation required by applicable authorities.
- Evidence of previous driving experience or employment where required.
- Other statutory or employment documentation required during the recruitment and onboarding process.
All documents will be subject to verification before employment.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
This is a strict location requirement.
The successful candidate must reside in Lekki Phase 1 or within a reasonable commuting distance that allows reliable and punctual reporting to work in Lekki Phase 1.
Accommodation is NOT provided for this position, and the Company will not be responsible for relocation or accommodation costs.
Candidates who cannot reliably commute to Lekki Phase 1 should not apply.
