Executive Engineer (Geotechnical)

Summary

Designs and supervises geotechnical works for infrastructure and buildings, including ground investigations, analyses, and structural designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise ground investigations, including performing ground characterizations.
  • Develop design concepts for geotechnical works.
  • Conduct analyses and detailed designs for geotechnical structures and solutions.
  • Perform structural-related designs as required.
  • Coordinate and liaise with developers, contractors, authorities, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Manage and oversee geotechnical design projects, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
  • Work on geotechnical challenges associated with infrastructure works (e.g., underground stations, tunnels, basements, slope stabilizations) and building works (e.g., basements, foundations, ground settlements).
  • Be involved in the design aspects of these geotechnical works.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience in geotechnical engineering projects (preferred).
  • Proficiency in geotechnical design software (e.g., PLAXIS) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with local codes, regulations, requirements, and Eurocodes.
  • Knowledge of authority submission processes for civil and geotechnical works (preferred).
  • Conversant with statutory codes, site supervision practices, quality control procedures, and construction administration (preferred).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
