Support container operations by reconciling charges, monitoring inventory, maintaining tracking data, and generating analytical reports to optimize costs and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile demurrage and detention (D&D) charges and depot invoices to ensure accurate billing and compliance with company policies
- Monitor long-stay empty container inventory in OPUS to optimize container turnaround times and reduce holding costs
- Maintain accurate container tracking data in OPUS to facilitate efficient equipment control (EQC) workflows
- Analyze raw operational data and create visual reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and support decision-making
- Provide agile operational support for daily business activities and special projects as needed
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping-related disciplines, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar operational role
- Knowledge of Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) standards, cargo-worthy inspection, and repair estimation; IICL certification is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite applications
- Highly organized with strong time management skills to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to make sound operational decisions
