Executive, Finance (AP)
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to join our Strategic Planning & Innovation team. This role plays a key part in shaping NKF's strategic direction, driving organizational transformation, and supporting innovation initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability.
In this role, you will support the Foundation's healthcare service delivery by managing the accounting, reporting, and administration of various modules, including Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets and Inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP)
Process approved invoices and payments via GIRO and other electronic payment modes in accordance with company policies, payment terms and Delegation of Authority (DOA) requirements.
Review open purchase orders monthly to ensure goods or services are received and invoices are submitted to Finance on a timely basis.
Ensure expense, department, project and fund codes are captured accurately.
Reconcile supplier statements, handle vendor enquiries and resolve payment-related discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Prepare general ledger journals and support monthly closing activities, including cashflow projections, creditors' ageing, outstanding purchase order reports and accrual schedules.
Review and analyse expenditures, including trend analysis and budget variance analysis.
Review journals, reports and reconciliations prepared by peers, and assist with annual audits and cash counts when required.
Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, strengthen internal controls and enhance efficiency through automation and Finance system enhancements.
Management of Fixed Assets and Inventory
Establish, maintain and monitor controls, procedures, forms and schedules for fixed assets and inventory.
Manage asset tagging, periodic physical counts, inventory verification exercises, audit support and coordination with auditors.
Review appropriate authorisations and accurately record fixed asset and inventory acquisitions, movements and disposals.
Track the compilation of project costs into work-in-progress and close out those accounts when the related projects are completed.
Run depreciation, review fixed asset and inventory valuations and accumulated depreciation, assess potential obsolescence throughout the asset life cycle, and conduct periodic impairment reviews.
Manage month-end and financial year-end closing for fixed asset and inventory modules, including reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers to the relevant general ledger control accounts.
Perform review, analysis and reporting for asset modules, including monthly cashflow projections, monthly or quarterly budget utilisation updates and audit schedules.
Ad-hoc duties
Involve in Finance process review and improvement
Handle enquiries from vendors, auditors, other departments
Receive, open and distribute incoming mails
Perform any other duties assigned by RO and HOD
Job Requirements
Qualification
Degree in Accountancy or Business-related discipline
Experience
Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
Minimum 1-2 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
Prior experience using Oracle, SAP applications preferred
Prior experience in asset/inventory management preferred
