Executive Officer (5-month contract) (26270021)
The External Relations Section is looking for a well‑versed team player and meticulous individual contributor to join our team as a temporary Executive Officer. In this role, you will support event promotion and execution, while also contributing to a range of marketing and administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end logistics including venue sourcing, catering, AV equipment, and staffing to ensure smooth operations;
- Report on event budgets, negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships;
- Prepare and coordinate eDM event promotions and write news articles;
- Support school branding materials and initiatives to a high standard;
- Perform administrative tasks, including accurate data compilation and performance indicators; and
- Perform duties as assigned by the section manager and/or his or her delegates.
Requirements:
- A recognised bachelor’s degree, with preferably four years of solid post‑qualification work experience in marketing, communications and/or event management particularly within the tertiary education sector;
- Self‑motivated and proactive, with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Excellent time management and multi‑tasking abilities, with the capacity to work effectively under pressure;
- Analytical and open‑minded, with advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially PPT and Excel; and
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, with effective communication in Putonghua.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and/or an interview.
The appointment will be offered on a temporary, fixed-term contract of around 5 months.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
