Executive Officer / Assistant Executive Officer (25260806)
The School of Business invites applications for a high-calibre individual to join the Central Administration Section of the Dean’s Office in supporting school-wide tasks and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the School’s facilities to support teaching, research, events, and meetings;
- Handle renovation projects and staff room allocations;
- Oversee day-to-day operations, covering the room booking system, repairs and maintenance, and emergency response, etc.;
- Serve as the primary point of contact on facility matters with the University’s Estate Office, departments, as well as academic, teaching, and administrative colleagues across the School;
- Act as various School committees’ secretary to prepare minutes, reports, and documents;
- Review the School’s facilities and recommend improvements;
- Perform general office administrative duties; and
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A recognised bachelor’s degree, with at least two years of relevant work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin), with proficiency in computer software;
- Self-motivated, attention to detail, with a “can-do” spirit and a strong sense of ownership;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; and
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Assistant Executive Officer role.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written assessment.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of up to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
